Purchase codes and approvals

One-time purchase codes

Some merchants ask for a one-time code from the card issuer. Open the card’s purchase checks in Unlockd to see it with its expiry. If you connected Telegram messages, the code can also be sent to your private chat with the Unlockd bot.

Unlockd never sends purchase codes by email.

Payment approvals

Some purchases ask you to approve the payment in the app. Unlockd shows the merchant, amount and card, and nothing is approved until you choose Approve this payment. Opening a notification never approves a payment.

If you do not recognise a payment, do not approve it. The request expires on its own. Freeze the card and contact support.

Stay safe

Enter a purchase code only on the merchant’s checkout page. Unlockd staff will never ask you for a code, your card number or your security code.
